Affordable Locksmith provides 24/7 mobile auto locksmith dispatch services in Croydon and surrounding areas. Our services include vehicle unlocking, car key cutting, transponder key coding, and ignition lock repairs.
We do not charge a call-out or attendance fee. You do not pay for us to travel to you or to inspect the vehicle, and if we attend and cannot carry out the work, you pay nothing.
Before we dispatch, we give you a fixed price for the work described to us over the phone. That price is what you pay for that work. Quotes are based on the information you give us — the vehicle make, model, year and the job required — so please make sure it is accurate.
If, on arrival, the vehicle needs work beyond what was quoted, we will stop, explain what is needed and tell you the additional cost. We only continue once you have agreed to it. You will never be charged for work you have not approved in advance. If you would rather not proceed, you are free to decline and there is nothing to pay.
Emergency dispatch times are estimates and depend on traffic and weather in South London.
You can cancel at any time before work begins at no cost. If we arrive and the job cannot go ahead — for any reason, including the vehicle being inaccessible, the details given being different in reality, or you changing your mind — there is no charge.
Where we attend your vehicle away from our premises, this is an off-premises contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and you normally have 14 days to cancel. If you have asked us to carry out urgent work immediately, we will tell you before we start that beginning the work affects that right, and we will ask you to confirm that request.
Payment is due once the agreed work is completed. We accept cash, debit and credit cards and bank transfer. You are entitled to an itemised receipt showing exactly what you have been charged for, and we will provide one for every job.
If you believe you have been charged for something you did not agree to, contact us on 07400 007588 or info@affordablecarkey.co.uk and we will review it and refund anything charged in error. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to services carried out with reasonable care and skill, or your right to escalate a complaint to Citizens Advice or Trading Standards.
If something has gone wrong, please tell us. Contact us on 07400 007588 or at info@affordablecarkey.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge every complaint within two working days and to resolve it within fourteen days.
For security and fraud prevention, we require proof of vehicle ownership (V5C logbook, rental agreement, or insurance document) and matching photo identification before conducting unlock entries or key program processes.
All replacement key fobs, key blades and transponder chips supplied by us are brand-new, OEM-grade parts, fitted on-site by our technicians. We are not liable for pre-existing vehicle mechanical or electrical ignition faults. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
